You have to advance in the main events, and Diana will eventually appear at the end of a long long main event that is kinda sick, so keep the main events and the other characters events

Please someone I really need help with this main event I done everything 😭😭😭please someone

Hey there! The event isn't broken and does work (I just tested it), so I'm not 100% sure what the issue is. In any case, I rewrote the flags anyway and checked that they do work just to make sure that the issue is completely dealt with.

I just have a couple more things to fix up, and I'll have an update patch up today at some point.

Ok well how do I trigger it please just this once I'm begging you😢😭

Bugfix is live.

Big eyeroll.... So I'm playing the game watching a rant about capitalism unfold with the most flawed and most popular argument against it. I gotta get up and go to work, lmao. Ok let's eliminate capitalism. Who builds your house/ Fixes your plumbing? Builds your car? Operates the power plant? Grows your vegetables? Puts your Spam in the can? Even without capitalism, getting up and going to work would definitely still be a thing. The only difference being allocation of everything you need instead of money exchange. No ability to quit your job or be able to change jobs without permission. The only way out of capitalism or socialism is homesteading. Build your own house, grow your own food, raise your own animals, and build/fix anything you want in life. You can be for or against whatever you want. One thing will always remain a constant. You WILL be getting up and going to work no matter what system you choose.

You're right in the aspect that we'd stiI'll have stuff without capitalism. Capitalism doesn't have hands, it doesn't make things.

Laborers make things.

What capitalism does is separate laborers from the product of their labor and you are underestimating what difference that would make.

We already know exactly how it would be. The Soviet Socialist Republic was an exercise in exactly that. There are 1000s upon 1000s of people that can tell you exactly how it worked from first hand experience. China is something else that doesn't work in a Socialist fashion. China operates like Mussolini's Italy.. Government control of everything yet still a working wage with little communal benefit of total control from above. It's almost identical to the way Italy was run.

Let's say that you make tables and chairs. That's your labor. Using straight barter, you can only trade your goods for other goods. Works alright in medieval times within your shire. Doesn't get you iPhones or cars or even pay the electric bill. Capitalism is simply introducing the idea of money as an intermediary between the barter. You sell your goods to Jim. Then take the money and buy goods from Bob. Bod didn't need your goods. That's the simplest form and most rewarding. We all have a choice on what to do with our labor. Working for someone else is easier and less risky but comes at a cost. There's really nothing more to it. We the people to to make more controls on corporations to stop the separation of wealth and restrict the shareholder goal of profit over everything else. Every system needs controls especially when society advances.

You are wrong. Capitalism is not money exchanging. Capitalism comes from capital. That is money being used in a way that does not return goods or services but more money that can then be used for further capital.
In the interest of further capital keeps the wealth has several class based effects. It is easier to gather more capital when workers are not aware of each other, do not know how much their labor is worth, and blame other workers or themselves for their position. The most important part of society to the capitalist is themselves. They  do not see labor as important of necessary to the process or the laborer. The most ideal way to gather capital is slavery and every advance in technology and policy, from a capitalist, used to cut out more workers and bring more slavery.

Loved the characters and their designs and the plot, but the game has so much grind and the duologues are long

Thank you. :)

Detached is indeed very story heavy, as that is the main focus on the game, and the character interactions are the backbone and support of it all. Despite the main plot lines happening simultaneously, it is still a story about a man and the bitches and bros he meets along the way.

That said, this update (and updates from before) offers QoL updates to help ease up on the grind (generic event skipping, hints and checklist in the various Events screens, drop down menus in the sandbox portions, etc), and Main Events help ease up on the grind, offering Affection increases for characters involved in them.

14 gb fuck

Hey there! Detached sure is, indeed, a chonky boi.

As of 0.18.0 development, I've adopted much better compression for my renders, shaving off close to 11gb.

While it will be a bit of a wait for that update to hit public release, I thought that it would be worth mentioning.

im not even past chapter one and already this game feels like a fever dream after a week long acid trip bender, every other time an event happens i just go "what the fuck is happening, why the fuck is this happening" and then the characters just roll on after doing absolutely insane out of pocket shit with a shrug... im still gonna keep playing but seriously ya know?

This game is shockingly good. I was going into it expecting pretentious edgy bullshit, and it has that, but it also has a lot more going on. The story doesn't bend around the protagonist view on life in fact the story goes out of its way to show that these more going on than Daine's personal spiral. I was worried about the transition into chapter 2 dropping Daine's personal story in favor of focusing on the urban fantasy elements. Instead, it does a really good job of expanding the world Daine lives in without losing focus. The writing has also all around improved in chapter 2. The only thing I really hope for is a reduction in scale, I want to see where this story ends and there's already so many different thing going on that I'm worried it'll become too much. All in all, one of the best written games in the adult game genre.

Hey ive played this a long time ago and it just randomly found me again hows it been i think mine was 0.13.0 i dont remember exactly

(1 edit)

Hey! Thanks for showing interest in Detached. :)

Detached development has slowed a bit on account of balancing work/life QoL stuff, and the increasing complexity of chapter 2 events, but 0.17.0 will hopefully be available for Early Access at the end of the month, meaning 0.16.0 will be publicly available then.
